JACKSONVILLE- IBM has named Virginia M. “Ginni” Rometty as the new CEO of the company and it has caused a stir in the world of golf. The last four IBM CEO’s have all been men and have all been members of the prestigious Augusta National Golf Club. Rometty admits to being a part time golfer and as tradition would have it should be a member at Augusta National. But herein lies the problem; Augusta National is a men only golf club. We shall see hows this story plays out and if Augusta may finally change.
In interviews, Rometty has stated her real passion is SCUBA diving. We say welcome to Florida where you can enjoy all the wonderful diving and if Augusta National doesn’t see the light it just gives her more time to dive.
